For this research-based essay written in Spanish, I performed an in-depth analysis of the novel Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo. The project focuses on fundamental themes such as power, mortality, and magical realism, exploring the town of Comala as a liminal space where the boundaries between life and death are perpetually blurred. My analysis specifically addresses how the authority of Pedro Páramo shapes the existence and eventual demise of the town’s inhabitants, as well as how the haunting voices of the dead provide the work's structural foundation.
